GENERAL Classes open to amateur handlers only. Only horses properly nominated through the Silver Sire Futurity Program are eligible. Horse eligibility can be verified through Ed Evans at (775) 882-1573. STALLS ~ If your horse is entered in the Region III Show and has paid for a stall, no additional stall fee is due for your horse for the Silver Sire show. If your horse is not entered in the Region III Show, you must pay for your stall with your Silver Sire entries. Silver Sire Breeders, Inc. is not responsible for stall arrangements for any late entries. If your horse is to be stalled with a trainer, an extra stall must be ordered through Region III using their entry form. There is a $25 trailer-in fee if no stall is required. All stall fees collected by Silver Sire will be paid to Region III. RING PRESENTATION AND CONDUCT - All horses will be judged in accordance with the USEF Rule book with the following exceptions: All horses should be brought into the ring at the trot on a loose line. Judging begins when the first horse enters the ring. From the moment the horse enters the ring its movement is being evaluated and scored. The horse shall enter at a trot counterclockwise and trot approximately half-way around the ring, at which time the horse will take up the walk and the steward will allow the next horse in line to enter the ring. When all horses have entered the ring, the horses will proceed along the wall in a counterclockwise direction. At the ring steward’s direction, the horses will stop and the first horse in line will prepare to be evaluated by the judges. Only the horse being judged and the horse “on deck” will be allowed to prepare for presentation to the judges. Preparation shall include controlled circling and positioning the horse for presentation to the judges. The only shanking allowed shall be limited to an unruly horse in order to regain control. All other exhibitors must remain relaxed within the ring, or they shall be penalized. When the judges summon the first horse, the handler will walk the horse directly to the judges in the center of the ring for further evaluation. After evaluation, the handler will continue walking the horse to the other end of the ring, make a left turn, pick up the trot, and trot the horse to the end of the line of horses. In order to satisfy a proper presentation to the judge, horses should stand correctly, bearing weight on all four feet (not stretched), in a quiet and deliberate manner. ATTIRE Normal halter handling attire is recommended. Aloha shirts with dark slacks will be included as normal halter attire for the Silver Sire Show. SHOW OFFICE Information and show packets with numbers will be available at the Silver Sire booth in the commercial exhibitor area. STALLION AUCTION The annual stallion auction will be held Friday evening at the Silver Sire booth in the Region III main arena. Telephone bids are accepted at the following numbers: 775/741-0601, 435/559-3629, 916/343-4279.
